Day 1 of BlogFest

I stayed up late Wednesday and couldn't sleep just of sheer excitement to see my friends, Jessica who I got to stay with, and then the fun of BlogFest.
Thursday I parked and barely made it to the FitBodies Inc "Out of the Gym and Onto the Beach" coconut workout! It was super fun and woke my tired, sore body up! We partnered up and used the coconut as a light weight, did some dance and low impact aerobics, mixed with pilates and some bodyweight exercises. They had hats, sunglasses, and chapstick, and shared their story and a great playlist.
Here is my good friend and one of my fave bloggers:

Then we started the day with this dynamite lady:

You guys, Petra actually brought tears to my eyes. What she said truly resonated with me. She inspired me and gave me confidence! I can't wait to read her new book on Self-Care coming out next month!
My notes: We are gatekeepers to happiness, not comparison.
3 strengths you know you have are:
1.Connecting and networking people
2.Music and performance (public speaking/theatre), supporting the arts
3. Love and passion for helping give a voice for women, children, the underdog.
To be remarkable will get remarked ON.
Does perfection add more joy or suck joy out of your life? (It sucks!;))
Your followers connect to your cracks not to perfection.
I don't mind or care how many likes, I want to change how one person feels.
Be passionate
Not a perfectionist.
I wanna be the best I can be but not at the expense of health and happiness.
Be the impact and your income will follow (Here I said "WOW" so loud that Petra actually heard it and commented "Was that a Wow?" and we all laughed).
What is the "-er" in your life? I should be... thinner, prettier, more reserved, more self-controlled, less emotional, all these shoulds or should'ves!
Worthiness training
Thoughts>words>actions>habits>character>Destiny
Most of us have an avg. of 70k thoughts/day
95% are the same thoughts we had yesterday
85% tend to be negative.
Magnify? Minimize? Make up? When someone pays you a compliment smile and say Thank you. Don't argue.
People focus on what you're posting.
Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle. Sell the Truth. Tell the Truth. If something (someone comments something negative) triggers you, stop and say "That's interesting." Then move on.
Share the struggle, then the highlights.
Give people permission to be human, to not have to be perfect.
Reflection vs Rumination.

From here I looked at my friends and said "No way I'm not certified, I can't teach!" and my friends said "Sure you can! You could teach us about Essential Oils, or...?" and then I thought "OOH! I should write a course on Self-Care!" (More on this later).
Next up? Kristine Beatty taught us about Google Analytics.

We ended the night by going to Happy Hour (we had a nice long chat with the couple from IntelliRoll about blood type diets, and they were so kind to give me a foam roller to blog about! I'm inspired to use it every day now that it helped my neck and shoulders!
And then IdeaWorld threw us a big party sponsored by G Adventures! They had food (vegan options) and we all danced the night away!

More to COME!
