It's time for a Book Giveaway!

I started to post about my Yoga and Foam Rolling, but that's on hold. Now it is time for a Fall Book Giveaway. Time for Autumnal changes. Time of Letting go, just like the trees with leaves teach us. My favorite time of year. I don't like football, but I love Baseball, and cider, spice, apples, blankets and sweaters. I do love a good tea and cuddling up with a good book. Walking my dogs with cute sweaters on and reminiscing about college life (Homecoming plays, rehearsals, set designs and construction.) Seeing the leaves change is a beautiful thing!

Most people think of New Year's resolutions, but I think fall is a good time to start routines and exercise ideas and new workout plans. That way, the kids are back in school, the weather is colder so you have to be creative, you want to drink hot things and eat sugar but you need to supplement with water and hot vegetable soups.

So my new friend Lyn came out with a beautiful, inspiring book! She has grown this fabulous idea of springing from the couch to being Active! Let's take a look...

I love these quotes and mantras and affirmations!!! Each one is so helpful.

What I love about it, is that it has real practical ideas. It has journaling workbook "fill in the blank" type pages to help you really think and combat those excuses.

From her book she also gives us helpful coaching tips on her website:

  1. The Book (She even has a Book Club Kit and a 2Year Workbook if you need) and the book comes with a "Finisher" sticker to encourage you on your journey. This book contains the entire COUCH to ACTIVE Program in a self-study book format.

  2. The Pick ONE Challenge This first step will get you started in a good frame of mind.

  3. COUCH to ACTIVE 1-1 Coaching If you are serious about ensuring your success, I'll take you through the entire COUCH to ACTIVE program myself.

  4. Podcast Coming Soon! Be sure you are subscribed to my mailing list to receive the cliff notes. -taken from Lyn Lindbergh's website.

When I was depressed, I needed a bad couch guru like Lyn to get me off the couch and into the gym, outdoors with my dog and my bike, enjoying the trees. I learned to love running again. I met a personal trainer friend who taught me how to use weights at the YMCA. With the help of Reliv nutritional supplements, I stopped eating Cheetos and ice cream and alcohol every day, and I can see the importance of building a workout routine. If you don't need this book, maybe your friend, roomie, partner, or sibling needs it?

On here and on instagram, I will ask you to comment who and why do you or your friend needs this book. Do you have a weight loss goal? Are you feeling tired and sluggish? Sick and tired of being sick and tired? Time to go adopt a dog and start walking! Do you have a pool or access to one and you miss swimming? Make time for it by writing it in your calendar(my iphone reminds me) or planner. You signed up for yoga but forget to drive over there and go? Search a new video online.

I'm so excited for you to read this book!! Thanks again Lyn!!
